Anime Challenge Day 17: Favorite Supporting Male Character

Nicolas D. Wolfwood from Trigun

I had to think about this one for a long time, but it could only be Wolfwood.  If there was ever a maor character that was as complex as the main character himself, I think you know that answer by now.  Wolfwood is a man full of contradictions and is two sided, just like every other character in Trigun and Trigun is one of the few series that does this right.  He passes himself off as a priest, yet he carries a cross that happens to have a lot of guns in it.  He’s a generally nice guy that can have a rough temper.  Nicolas constantly challenges Vash’s thoughts of what heroism and they are much better characters for it.  Why else would they turn out to be friends and work together well?

Wolfwood is definitely an awesome supporting character (just a great character really). He’s a walking contradiction and it works so well. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, he’s just a a great character that just happens to be a side character in this show. I would definitely watch a show with him as the main character. It would be amazing.

I’m in, now they just need to make it so we can watch it.

For supporting male, I’ve always very much appreciated Piccolo’s measured approach to dealing with situations, but from what I’ve seen Kingdom’s Ou Ki takes the cake. He is imposing in physicality, appearance and principles.

Oh okay. I had to like Ou Ki up. From what I’ve seen of Kingdom, he seemed pretty interesting.

Heh, I went with a less major character when I picked mine, and it was a group, rather than a single man.
