Hello everyone. Welcome to another tag post. I’ve been pretty bad at doing these, because I’ve been tagged by three people and the one of the tagged me back in June. Still, I’ve been trying my best to slowly catch up on all these tag posts. Some of you might say really slow, but thems the breaks. The three people that tagged me were Merlin from Merlin’s Musings (a long time ago), Mel from Mel in Anime Land, and Pete from Moe Gamer. Three people I think you should all keep an eye on. Thanks for the nomination, guys.

Pete’s Questions:
1) Have your tastes in [insert your favourite form of entertainment here, be it anime, manga, games or whatever] changed since you were younger? Why do you think this might have happened, if so? (Or why not, if not?)
I’m going with anime on this one and my answer is a bit of a cop out because it’s yes and no.
No, because I still love mecha series and shonen action series like I started out with. If something comes out in those two certain genres/perspectives, I have to at least try them. Maybe this changed a lot because my expectations are harder to please these days
Yes, because I know watch stuff that I never imagined that I would enjoy at first. I am finding out that I love certain types of slice of life series and romantic comedy series and am in the look out for those too.
2) You’re presented with a piece of your favorite form of entertainment that is popularly regarded as “bad” for some reason. How do you approach it?
I would definitely approach it. Probably watch the whole anime series and then write an opinion piece about how I feel like it. I have a different frame of reference from a lot of people, so I would hope I would provide a unique perspective towards it. If I don’t, then I don’t.
3) What is your “magic button” for a piece of entertainment? What makes you immediately know that you’re going to love it?
The three things I have in mind are a few things. The first one is about its story. Is the thing going for a unique story or is it moving a story we’ve seen before a million times through it’s own frame of mind.
The second is how interesting are the characters. Same kind of criteria here.
The last one revolves around politics. Is this a politically heavy thing. If it is, instant winner.
4) If you had the opportunity to make the work you do on your blog a sustainable, full-time job from which you could draw a living wage, would you do it?
No. It would be a lot of fun, but I’ve had a dream of becoming an engineer for a long time now. Still working on that, but that goal hasn’t changed.
5) Which of MoeGamer’s mascots is Best Girl?
Yumi, I have a thing for brunnettes.
Mel’s Questions
1) Is there a post you always wanted to write but still haven’t found the way to write it?
Yes. I usually find a way to turn a post around in order to make it work, but I haven’t been about to do that with my post about talking about the ups and downs of seasonal anime. It’s been hard and I still don’t have a lot of good ideas about it flowing into my head.
2) Last movie you watched? Did you like it?
The last movie I watched was A Man Called Ove. I watched it with my mom and it’s a Swedish movie (with subtitles) about an Old man who finds out there is life beyond his mom. I liked it quite a bit. The movie carried some emotions and thoughts that I needed.
3) Your Dream Vacation?
Right now, it’s being in Tokyo during the 2020 Olympics. It just sounds like a lot of fun.
4) If you could go anywhere on Earth without having to think about time and money, where would you go?
Probably Antartica. Place Further then the Universe made the trip look both dangerous and fun.
5) Your favorite anime song?
Moon from Turn A Gundam. It’s Yoko Kanno at her best.
6) If you could produce your anime, which genre would it be? Who would be the main lead?
I know that this is a typical answer for me, but it would be a mech anime. Preferably a Gundam series. I don’t know who the lead would be, but definitely a female Gundam pilot protagonist. There have been many female Gundam pilots before, but never as the lead. I want this series to be ground breaking by also having the masked character be a female character too. Let’s change things up a bit.
Merlin’s Questions
1) How did you come up with your blogging name?
If you are talking about the blog’s name, I have a degree in mechanical engineering and I love mecha anime. There, done. If you are talking about the name I use for posts, it’s my given name. That’s about it really. I’m kind of boring.
2) What do you love most about blogging?
I love writing my opinions about certain anime topics and having a place to put them, having an audience that follows me for some reason, and having a community of bloggers to follow.
3) What do you hate most about blogging?
Well, those posts aren’t going to write themselves are they? I know that not every single post takes up a lot of time, but finding a good balance between everyday life, watching anime, and writing about it is difficult sometimes. I wish we could just imagine posts and have them appear on wordpress. Would be so much easier.
4) Do you have some favorite blogs to recommend?
I don’t want to play favorites
5) Do you have one or three personal favorite posts you’ve written?
Yes….
….
…..
Oh, they are Of Mechs and Men, a post I’ve written about The Strengths of Science Fiction, and my Chihayafuru 2 post.

Okay, I’m going to try and tag some victims now. If you’ve been tagged before, I’m sorry:

6) Done
7) This
8) Tag
9) Yet
10) So There
(Look, I know this is cheating, but I don’t want to spend the amount of time finding out who hasn’t been tagged yet. I nominate all of you. You’re all the best people ever, so you are all apart of my brotherhood of blogging. Do this tag if you want to or don’t. That’s up to you. Sorry for my laziness.)
Questions:
1) What do you think your blogging style is?
2) What is an activity that you do outside of blogging?
3) If you wanted to visit an anime’s world, which one would you choose?
4) If you could summon three warriors from different anime realms to be your servants in some sort of Fate/ Situation, who would you choose?
5) Favorite genre of anime
That’s it. Thank you everyone.
Congrats on the award, Scott!

Congrats on the award.
Don’t think I’ve thought about my blogging style, just looking at the first question you’ve provided…Content-wise, it’s a tossup between informative and argumentative depending on the post, sometimes a mix of the two. It’s also personal and mostly anecdotal, to the point where it seems a bit narcisstic. One thing’s for sure though – it’s not boring.

Thank you!
And as long as it’s you, it doesn’t matter right? As long as it’s not boring!
