Hello everyone. I’m at Sakuracon in Seattle this weekend and I have a press pass for the first time in my life, so I am going to try my best to cover everything I do at the con at a reasonable schedule. Hopefully I will be able to get my posts out at a timely manner this weekend. If I don’t, what hasn’t been posted will be posted on Monday with everything seasonal pushed to Tuesday. My Friday post will go up as planned, so don’t worry about that. It was scheduled a couple weeks ago, so it’s been waiting to be seen by all of you for a while. I hope you enjoy my take on Liz and the Bluebird tomorrow at the usual time.
Just to let you all know, I will be only covering the Friday and Saturday of this convention. On Easter, I am scheduled to act like a trumpet player at my church and play songs for all three services. So basically, I am wearing a couple hats this weekend. One is the reporter hat that smells nice and clean because I’ve never done this before and the trumpet player hat that I’ve known since fifth grade. Man, this is going to be a fun by tiring time and I am glad I have this opportunity.
Appearing at the area of the convention the day before it occurs is such a new experience for me too. The energy of the con is all around me in such spectacular fashion. Wherever I walk to around the hotel I am at, there are tons of people wearing convention passes already just having a good time eating and talking. It’s very good and friendly energy that I don’t mind just mingling with. It’s such a great start. Sakuracon 2019 is going to be good, everyone!
I arrived here early then I expected, but that is partially because the traffic in Seattle itself is just a huge mess. Still, Seattle has quite a bit to offer. I took my time and wandered around Pike’s Place Market a little bit. There is so much to offer here. I do have to mention that my first purchase in Seattle is not anime related. It’s a book by Anne McAffrey that I look forward to reading in the future. I hope you all had a pleasant Thursday. Here are some of my photos from working vacation so far.

Hope it goes well!
I was going to go with my friend, but she went out of town for Passover. Maybe next year! (I feel like I’ve said this before…) Yes, I have considered to go by myself, but it wouldn’t be as fun and I wouldn’t be able to get there on my own.
But apparently an animator of the promised neverland is going to be a guest her this year. Also a favorite artist of mine is going to be in the artist’s corner.
Have you been to Uwajimaya? It’s a Japanese supermarket with so many Japanese snacks. There is a Kinokuyia bookstore upstairs(or maybe next to) there and they sell manga. Then there is a Daiso across the street. It’s is a 100 yen store in japan but $1.50 store here.
If you have the time, i think you should check it out if you have the time.

I was there a while ago and it definitely is a fun place to go and eat delicious food. Not sure if I am going to leave the con long enough to go, but I will have to plan a trip to Uwajimaya in the near future.
