I know that it didn’t seem like it from what I posted yesterday, but I am pretty excited about watching Fall 2019 anime. Especially the sequels that I’ve been waiting for a long time and some newer shows that I sound pretty interesting. What’s wrong with that? I’m not looking for something mind blowing, just something to watch. That’s it. If some shows are mind blowing again, that’s fantastic. Otherwise, not sure what else to say.
Besides Vinland Saga and maybe Fire Force, here are the anime that I am interested in watching next season.
-Sequel Anime I’m Going to be watching-
My Hero Academia Season 4
Studio Bones
It’s more MHA, a shonen jump series that I really like. No, I haven’t gotten bored of it yet. What else do I need to say here? I’ve heard from sources that major things are going to happen in this season, so I’m looking forward to everything this show has to offer.
Bananya and the Curious Bunch
TMS Entertainment
I loved the first season quite a bit, so definitely looking forward to this new set of adorableness.
Chihayafuru Season 3
Madhouse
More Chihayafuru. That’s it, that’s the reason. I missed my Karuta dorks and now I can see them again.
Psycho Pass Season 3
Production IG
I’m a little nervous with this one after season two because of the lack of Urobuchi presence, but I’m looking forward to more cyberpunk anime to watch. Hopefully new writers come up with more unique ideas to where to take this story.
Legend of the Galactic Heroes Reboot: Season 2
Production IG
I think the classic anime has much better characterization, but the story and characters are still good and I like seeing the beautiful visuals that the original from the 1980’s can’t do.
Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE
Sunrise
The first season of Gundam Build Divers was a dumpster fire, but with some creative people behind Gundam Unicorn, which I love, and such I think I can be more hopeful with this season. I hope. If anything, the trailer looks bad ass.
Fate/Grand Order: Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia
Cloverworks
Yes, this is a sequel because of the origin ova that came out a while ago. I honestly have no idea about all the parts leading to this so I am probably going to be guessing all the time, but more fate for the fate god. That’s all there is. I wish the game could have stuck with me more.
-Sports Anime-
Yes, I am going to make an active effort to watch more sports anime. I’m not going to watch Haikyu season 4 because that would be a terrible place to start, but there are other things interesting that I want to check out.
Stars Align
Studio 8-Bit
It’s a tennis anime revolving around a club that is going to be shut down. That’s not a lot to go by in of itself, but it has the director of Escaflowne, Noein, Heat Guy J, and Birdy the Mighty: Decode behind it so I think it will be pretty great.
Ahiru no Sora
Diomedia
A basketball anime based on a manga. I don’t know much about this one yet, but I’m going to give this one a chance. Anyone no about the manga? Is that pretty good?
-Back on my BS-
Yeah, apparently there are some science fiction and other series going on that I can’t help but at least find intriguing.
Pet
Geno Studio
Apparently this is a story that resolves around people that have the ability to infiltrate other people’s minds and manipulate memories. That’s enough of an interesting concept in itself, but there is also talk about underworlds, assassinations, and everything, so I think this one will be interesting to watch and figure out at least.
Blade of the Immortal
LIDENFILMS
Another historical sort of drama with lots of action? An cursed guy and a woman seeking revenge as they travel around killing things to become normal?? Sounds oftly familiar to me for some reason. Definitely giving this one a try for that reason because I really do miss Dororo. I am nervous about LIDENFILM’S production because they overuse CG at least in regards to Arslan Senki, but definitely keeping an eye on it regardless.
No Guns Life
Madhouse
A man with a gun head, talks of body modification, and such? Yeah, I’m pretty excited about this one. Yay more original cyberpunk anime after who knows how long? Yes! Hopefully, this is Madhouse back to being awesome again instead of whatever they were at the beginning of the year.
Holy crap, that’s a lot of anime that I’m going to watch. I’m hoping that they don’t appear on the same or similar days because that would make everything way too hard. Yikes. Or I could schedule them so I watch only a couple everyday. Either way, that’s going to be a little hard I think. Oh well. There is always the possibility that I don’t watch all of this either, so who knows what to expect.
So what are you all planning to watch this coming season?

So this version of Blade of the Immortal has to be better than the BeeTrain version, right?

I hope so. I don’t have the largest faith in the studio for this newer adaptation.

So far I’m working my way through VOTOMS as well as The Big O, but I’ll probably check it once I watch Revisions.

You’re watching great stuff and Revisions then. 😁 I’m glad I got to watch Votoms recently because it’s amazing.

So far I’m liking it as well. I’m up to the third arc of it, which is so different from the first two. Have you checked out Panzer World Galient and Fang of the Sun Dougram?

They are on my list and I really do want you watch them. I’m sure I’ll get to those eventually. Galient was mentioned on the retro Mecha podcast and sounded pretty interesting.

That’s quite a few potential new animes to watch! I’m not sure what I’ll be watching yet, which is why I haven’t made a list at the moment. I know for sure I’ll also be watching My Hero Academia season 4 though, lots of excitement there for that one! Fate grand order maybe, fate is hard to keep up with lol. I didn’t know Psycho Pass was still going? I thought it ended a long time ago? I’ve never seen it but heard it’s great so maybe now is the time to pick it up.

I know, it might be too much. It will definitely be cut down eventually.
The first season of Psycho Pass and the movie are considered great, while the second season is awful. I’m hoping this third season is like season 1 and the movie.

Pet sounds pretty interesting. I had missed that one. May have to add it to my list as well. Happy watching, Scott!

I will be in the boat of only watching sports anime this season. It’s really unfortunate that I haven’t seen any other titles that really appeal to me lately. >..< I also didn't know Banaya was getting a second season, and after how cute the first was I will be for sure watching! Looking forward to seeing your thoughts this coming season!

That sounds like a safe thing to be. I need to figure out how many series I actually want to watch.

Safe, unless they are both bad lol. I really wish I was interested in more, but I can usually only track about 4 series as a time. >..<
