Hello everyone! I hope you’ve been enjoying October! I am glad that you’ve been enjoying my usual blog content and everything I’ve written attached to Auri’s Animanga Festival! That’s been a blast with so many creative prompts and things to write about.
Next week is the last week for Animanga Festival content and it’s the most sentimental yet fun one, so I hope you are ready. Especially one certain blogger who I hope reads the post I wrote for her. Not giving that away.
So let’s talk about other things that are going on besides the Animanga Festival! Or you know, after the Animanga Festival…
Blog Banner Update
If you haven’t been reading my content on reader, I’m trying something new with the banner for this blog. I made a space ship on a solid modeling program called Catia, took some screen captures of it in different views, then pasted them into three different banners.
I didn’t do a perfect job transferring or cutting out catia’s backgrounds because you can still see purple on some images but I couldn’t get that cut as good as I wanted them.

Yeah, those aren’t perfect but I like them. I will try harder on it later on. Or leave it like that because nothing is perfect and I want people to know that I’m human. depends on how lazy I am.
The Scott Halloween Film Festival
During the week of Halloween, I am running a small blog film festival from the Monday before the holiday to November First. They will be science fiction, body horror, post apocalyptic sort of movies. Well, most of them are. Three of these films are reviews of movies I’ve seen before and two are reviews of films I’ve never seen before.
I won’t tell you what all of these films are, but the first film is Akira. Afterwards is anyone’s guess. Except mine of course. I mean, I wrote the reviews after all.
Helpful? Schedule:
October 28th: Akira
October 29th: ???????????
October 30th: ???????
October 31st: ?????? ????? ??? ?????: ???????? ?? ??????? ????
November 1st: ???????? ?? ??? ???? ????????: ??? ?????? ?? ?????
Try figuring those out. I’m not giving hints except for the small hints I give on each individual posts on some of my reviews. Not all of them, just some.
November Dragon Ball Super Retrospectives
After the week of Halloween Film Stuff, I plan on looking at the different arcs of Dragon Ball Super starting with the Universe 6 arc and ending with a review of Dragon Ball Super: Broly.
Dragon Ball Super finished airing on Toonami recently and I feel like this is the proper way to celebrate the series on my blog. I’ve been a major Dragon Ball fan for most of my life and this just sounded like a good idea. I mean, I’ve been a fan of it for most of my life.
Another Helpful Schedule:
November 8th: Universe 6th Retrospective/Review
November 15th: Future Trunks Retrospective/Review
November 22nd: Tournament of Power Retrospective/Review
November 27th: Dragon Ball Super: Broly Review
Chihayafuru Season 3 Sunday Episode Reviews
Yes, this is something that I want to try. I loved Chihayafuru’s two seasons so I am going to replace my usual Sunday content of nonsense with Chihayafuru posts which will be completely separate from the usual monday posts that cover up a lot of seasonal shows.
Let’s see how that works out. If nothing, then I will return to usual content or just not post on Sundays. To be seen in the future!
Conclusions
And that’s it for now. I don’t have any major plans for Christmas besides reviewing Tokyo Godfathers on Christmas day. Yeah, not that exciting except writing a review for a great movie here.
That being said, I’m thinking about joining the twelve days of anime because I think posting my usual content alongside Auri’s Animanga Festival thing month proved I can do it. Still, I am not going to guarantee my entry until I make an announcement for it later on. Maybe. Possibly.
Until the next post, everyone!
Sounds like some great things going on for your future posts!

Good stuff Scott 🙂 I look forward to your film reviews the most. You did a pretty good job on your banner too! My only feedback is that the text is a little hard to read. Anyway, keep up the great work 🙂

Thank you! I hope those reviews turn out ok. I like them, but that doesn’t mean everything.
And good to know. I’ll experiment more with fonts this week.

I’m sure that they’ll be great! 🙂
Sounds good, you might try a drop shadow or putting them in a semi- transparent box. That’d help combat the grid background alignment issue and up the readability.

Thanks for the tips. I’ll look into doing that.

No problem, if it causes you trouble, let me know. I’d be happy to help you out there if needed 🙂

It is not possible to praise Chihayafuru highly enough! I pray the new season will be as good.

Same. As long as the writing is the same as previous seasons I think it’ll be fine.

Tokyo Godfathers is DAMN good, looking forward to that! And yea, Dragon Ball Super was a hell of a ride. Been watching it every Saturday with my wife for years now… so fun, that Broly movie was 10/10 as well. I had the luck of seeing it in theaters with a bunch of passionate nerds.
As for Chihayafuru, I hope I still like it xD it’s been YEARS since the last season… I’m excited though, might need some refreshing from last season though..

Yay! I hope you enjoy it when it appears! 😄. Going to be a while.
That’s how I was watching Dragon Ball Super too and I agree about the movie. It’s just fire.
