The first half of the new seasonal shows I’ve watched are here. I’m pretty excited about this coming season so far. Wondering how good the next shows will be compared to these two. Only time will tell.

The God of High School Episode 13 (Finale)
Ever watch a finale of a shonen battle series that you didn’t care about any of the characters at all but watched them have some bizarre power ups out of nowhere? If you haven’t, that is why God of High School is here for you! Only $7.99/month through Crunchyroll. Pauses for applause Yeah, I’ve got nothing. That blue haired guy just has demonic energy of a god, Mori just happens to have Son Goku abilities within him, and such. I just don’t care about it or the friendship the show is trying to do from having characters stand next to each other sometimes. It’s a very hollow, soul sucking series that looks nice with cool abilities with less set up then a standard shonen series. I don’t like this show at all.
Higurashi New Episode 1 (Premiere)
An interesting set up episode. It starts with a boy beating a girl with a bat splattering blood everywhere. Then, the show shifts to another time where keichii wakes up ready for school. He meets Rena and then goes through a lot of antics at school where younger girls go to school as well as people his age. He visits all around town until Rena and him show up a trash pile. A mystery man gives a hint about it and a cut says there is something else going on here with cut to Rena’s face in a quick moment. Of course, the two go back one day where Keiichi does visit Rena picking something up while looking at some revealing magazines. Of course, Rena shows up with a clever. Ummm, crazy times ahead? I have not watched the other previous version for this. I do love the atmosphere and the hints something is wrong though.
Jujutsu Kaizen Episode 1 (Premiere)

This show certainly has a lot of energy and chaotic pacing to it. A strong protagonist that is care free, but also has a dying grandfather at the hospital that anchors him emotionally. Plus he is apart of the occult club and he causes chaos by taking the high school’s artifact that protects them from the super natural. After his grandfather dies, he chooses to save his friends from unnatural deaths with that one guy they met. A very rushed start, but I have not been excited for modern shonen series in a while. I hope it continues to be interesting.
Haikyuu To The Top 2 Episode 1 (Season Premiere)

I don’t have much to say other then we are jumping into Karasuno vs Inarizaki in the second round. Inarizaki, the second seed, is ahead and doing some crazy things with their pep band while Karasuno has their Taiko group appear later. So there is a lot of build up for drama between the two groups, which actually hasn’t appeared and some good character interactions. That is it. Very good stuff, but the pacing and the non-organic animation style is annoying.
Wondering Witch Episode 1 (Premiere)
Oh wow was this episode just gorgeous in so many ways. From art to animation to writing in general, this show started out with more than the right foot. This episode was the start of Elaine’s journey. It involved her working hard to become a witch to getting the apprentice witch certification then her getting the position of being the Apprentince to a witch named Fran. A witch that worked Elaine through different elements of housekeeping until Elaine finally broke which is where the true training began. With her being at the right age and powerful with magic, it is time for Elaine to hit the road. I wonder what adventures she well see.

Love Live Sunshine 2 Episode 1

Don’t have much to say other then this is the good episode to start everything. Mari getting word that, even if the 0 became one became ten, the school is closing regardless. So with some character drama before Mari lets it out and Chiko finding the motivation to sing with the rest of the group, they are moving forward in hope for a miracle. I would have done it for a last hoorah for myself. A very slow start, but one that will be a good catalyst for the rest of the season. Looking forward to seeing the drama happen.
Dai-Guard Episode 14

Recap episode, nothing new to say here.
Bamboo Blade Episode 14

With this episode, the team is set up. Kirino with help from Saya were able to push Azuma a little closer into joining the club last episode and now Miya Miya is the killer punch in getting her all the way there. Like a snake with a mouse. I think Miya Miya being the one to influence Azuma through the smart people in the class who can help her with grades was the best part with that gag.
Still, the best part with with Toraji and the female teacher (I forget her name, sorry) playing the game taken from the student who broke the rules. What a perfectly fun and human moment in the middle of all of this insanity. She is also a pretty hardcore gamer as well which is really cool. Tama is slowly growing up through this camp too. I am looking forward to the chaos of the training camp to come.

I’ve started watching Haikyuu and I’m somewhere in the tournament of season 1 – Karasuno vs Aoba Johsai. It’s a fun watch. 😀 I’m far off from Haikyuu to the Top, eh?
