A Conversation With Lethargic Ramblings

And just like that, one month of 2021 has passed before our eyes. I am going to knock on wood, but I am feeling slightly more, not completely but you know, optimistic about this year going forward. Lets hope as vaccines start coming out, life can improve a bit. Hopefully.

And with that positivity comes Lethargic Ramblings. A blogger (and youtuber now) that I’ve known for a while, another friend, and one I hope to see more content from in the future. Lets give them a warm welcome as we learn more about them.

What is your name, the kind of content you create on the internet, and the name of that or those pieces of media?

I’m Leth, also known as Lethargic Ramblings or AlwaysLethargic!

I write a blog where I cover Anime and video games, and I’ve recently started up a YouTube channel where I make Anime related videos

When did you first start enjoying the media of which you provide a voice for online?

Since I was a kid, but I got “deep” into it around 2010, although I was a very different kind of voice to what I am now.

What made you choose the media that you communicate your thoughts online?

Originally I just wanted to share my opinions online, but nowadays I like to try to bring light to less talked about series or provide a positive perspective on things that aren’t as positively discussed. Mostly I just want to talk about the things I love.

Has it been difficult to find a voice in the online fandom?

Some what. I love the community, but there are times where sharing your opinions can be rather tough as well, particularly if said opinion is controversial or goes against the consensus.

When did you start gathering an audience? (Even a small amount of views or subscribers is an audience.)

Around 2016 when I first started my WordPress blog. I was quick to gain followers… Some how!

What are two posts/podcast episodes/pieces of art/etc that you are very proud of?

In terms of blog posts, my favourites would probably be my post on the video game Celeste and my post on Standards in the Anime community.

Standards Post: https://lethargicramblings.wordpress.com/2019/11/06/standards-arent-universal/
Celeste Post: https://lethargicramblings.wordpress.com/2019/09/16/fighting-anxiety-and-self-loathing-through-celeste/

Video wise, my favourite so far would most definitely be my video on Magical Girl Site, although my upcoming Tower of God video is definitely going to be a treat. I hope..

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions!

Thank YOU, Scott!

Where can people find you online? (Twitter @/Facebook group/Blog Link/Place to find your podcasts/Patreon/Other Things?)

Due to personal reasons that I don’t want to get into, I’m no longer active on social media and likely won’t be for the foreseeable future, but you can find me at my blog or YouTube channel!

Blog: lethargicramblings.wordpress.com
YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/LethYT

You can also add me on Discord too. Ask someone who knows me for the ID!

Yay. Once again, a big thanks to Leth for answering some cool questions, providing some good content for us to watch and read, and also giving us all something to look forward to in the future.
