In terms of school work, this week was very busy. I had a lot of things to do and its only the third week of school this semester. Multiple papers and planning to write other papers as well at the same time. Otherwise, it’s been pretty quiet. I managed to watch all of these good series and took a day off of work from when I am usually working to relax a bit more. It felt kind of necessary.
Wonder Egg Priority Episode 4

I feel like this episode worked a little too quickly which means it was a little too straight forward. For instance, the fight from last week continues. Ai protects the two idol fans after Rika dies and she uses their weapons in assistance, along with their help, to fight their specter. Rika eventually shows up and Ai and Rika work together to defeat it. Very compelling stuff.
At the same time, we are introduced with Momoe. A tomboy girl who fought for an egg who suffered sexual assault from one of her dad’s bosses and that incident led to the decline of her family and her suicide. We also dig into Momoe’s issues with being misgendered and her awkard space in existence. It takes Ai who sees her for the first time to first bit of understanding. With that, the four girls are united.
Not to mention that Neiru also is a CEO of an entire company? What? This episode made the themes it was going for a little too obvious, but it was good. Very fun and very visually interesting like usual.
Log Horizon Season 3 Episode 4

This week? The elections! I feel like this was supposed to air around US election season originally, but it is working better here. Somehow a bunch of adventurers with spells, skills, and weapons behave better than our ridiculous situation. The biggest thing? Rayneshia stood up for herself and her stay at Akihabara to help adventurers and people of the land. At the moment, Ein and the Saihuu family are leading the polls, but what will push the round table to winning? Maybe transportation to another city? Can Shiroe figure that out?
Yuru Camp Season 2 Episode 5

That was calming. Just Chiaki, Aoi, and Ena traveling around a bus on their own winter camping trip. Some good shopping, having fun hanging out with each other, buying some things, and existing. It was a little slow for me, but I think I needed this episode after a busy day at work. This was the best way to calm down. At least we know that the show can be a lot of fun without a focus on Rin and Nadeshiko. That’s the important part. Just need more dog jokes.
Promised Neverland Season 2 Episode 5

Oh, a bit of a time skip huh? I feel like this show is losing so much passion and energy by skipping time where survival is important. It’s still just fine, but the group ran through the woods after being chased by a monster and attacking humans. Don’t you think that would matter quite a bit? Not just cutting to the kids barely surviving underneath a demon city? Yeah, it’s a bit annoying.
That being said, the demon city and survival was interesting. The capturing of scraps, living in a church where an old demon can’t see anything, the scents, and everything. That and the demon city sees to be pretty low tech and medieval? I find that interesting considering the technology at play. The introduction of two more kids in the scavenging party did lead to chaos and being chased by demons, dumb one that didn’t call out the human scent at all, but it did lead to Norman. That’s interesting.
Cells at Work Code Black Episode 7

Well, that was a more calming episode then I expected. A focus episode on our Red Cell’s friend who is having a hard time while our protag is succeeding and having all sorts of good luck. So there is a bit of hard times, two Red Cells that cause chaos for the friend, and such, until our friend finds his own self worth and starts succeeding too. I liked it.
Cells at Work Season 2 Episode 5

I enjoyed this episode quite a bit. It was very cute. Especially since the bacteria that fell into the river was picked up by a Dendretic cell and it helped him to motivate the immune cells into fighting a new strain of flu. Mainly, the cool NK Cell. How? Pictures of them that embarrass each of them so they all activate. NK Cell in that cute lolita dress was kind of nice. Plus, the normal cell got to understand the lives of immune cells better. That’s good. Just not prepared for the cancer to appear again. Uh oh.
Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 17

This was the Maki vs Mai episode with some prelude by a fight beforehand. It started with good Nobara (who loves Maki) and her bad attitude vs Witch girl, but the main show down because the daughters with tough times fighting against each other. Maki the second rate sorceror vs the more priveleged Mai who didn’t want to be there. I thought I wouldn’t like Mai at first because Maki is great, but Mai not wanting to be a sorcerer is crazy and Maki just won hands down. Crazy times all around and such. I really like this show.
Back Arrow Episode 5

Well, Shu vs Kai is the name of this episode. Shu rebelled last episode and become a part of the Granedger crew. And of course, in Code Geass style, Kai is the strongest Breiheight user ever. Not even Back Arrow could win against him, so its thanks to Shu’s trickery that the Granedger even survived. Crazy times all around. Though, Kai is now going to be arrested and such while the Granedger is running. Uh oh.
Horimiya Episode 5

This was my favorite episode of this show so far possibly compared to the first episode? I think It has to do with everything not feeling as disjointed and how non typical the relationship formed between Hori and Miyamura. All helped a little bit from Hori’s dad who decided to show up. There was typical comedy like Hori just throwing books at Miyamura out of jealous, but there was a lot of understanding and calmed down talk about the two talking about Miyamura’s confession.
Plus, the dad in the relationship just seems to work for his unusual nature. There was and wasn’t a confession scene by Hori stating that Miyamura was his boyfriend. The small tidbit with Sakura and Toru as the end was like an epilogue and it just connected everything together. So yeah, absolutely fantstic episode. I wish that there was more Yuki with her sleeves that are too long, but I am pretty satisfied.
SK8: The Infinity Episode 5

I think this was a fun episode besides diving into ADAM’s gay stereotypes a little too hard. Like, the love hug and the guy saying he has a date and that date happens to be Langa. On Langa’s side, he has really been showing how good he is by immediately picking up things and getting excited when dealing with high pressure situations. I’m waiting to see that moment when Reki and Langa break apart before joining together again.
Same with how the race between ADAM and Langa ended. I had a feeling that it wouldn’t be concluded given the nature of the two like minded people finding each other at equal levels of skill. The police breaking up S was definitely a special moment in all of this. This was a very fun and it showed how much work and care this show put into its characters and story. Not as visually good though. Hmmm.
Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 9

Hmmm, background episode and an episode about the aftermath of the actions from last episode. The meeting of other parties from Marley who gave some technology to Paradis to the inevitable betrayal of Paradis people against those rogue marlayans. It’s just like “Yeah, that was a thing that I could have inferred”. I also like how they tried to ring out some more emotion about Sasha by giving her more food to eat in the background. I guess this was a calm episode that needed to happen, but it was just a calm episode that needed to happen. I feel like this could be skipped easily.
