Seasonal Ratings:

-Just because something is lower doesn’t mean that it’s a bad show to me. If I thought a show was bad, I would drop it.
-Back Arrow is sir not appearing on this list.
Mars Red Episode 3

These episodes are always full of things going on and it’s always a bunch of fascinating things. I wasn’t expecting the blond vampire to be outed so soon, but an ancient vampire on squad zero did it. There were some politics on the vampire program going on here too and it’s interesting how they are treated like nukes in this world. I also like the humanizing moment of the younger vampire taking a weaker one to see his wife at the boat ceremony. That’s so adorable. With the colonel passing out due to being exhausted while an incident is occuring. The show being busyness lessens this anime for me a little bit, but I really do like this show. Just not as much as the others for now.
Fruits Basket Season 3 Episode 3

Yay, a wonderful Yuki episode. He’s grown so much but I love his relationship with Machi. Especially since he knows how she likes her life to be disorganized after suffering through so much in trying to be the straight and narrow. The snow setting her off makes sense and Yuki of course knows that fact. He even broke one of the chalk things for her to lessen the tension on her without a beat. Though with all of this, the show really feels some sort of change based on how there was a graduation in this episode and characters are leaving. I like this show can focus on characters specifically, yet make the world move. This show is fun.
ODDTAXI Episode 3

Talk about another all connecting episode here. This show is still very Durarara like in how circumstances just lead to these characters joining together in some way. For instance, the Yakuza Baboon with the gun making our Odokawa taxi driving into giving him information for later when the guy is deeping involved with the police. There is also a yakuza plot centered on the high school girl that the creepy monkey is involved with which will get complicated next episode? Not to mention the Alpaca nurse having a serious crush on Odokawa as well. Lots of complex things that I can’t help but really enjoy. I honestly can’t get enough of this show at all.
To Your Eternity Episode 2

Well, this was definitely not as strong of an episode as episode one but this episode was pretty decent. Just didn’t have the impact of like the one episode ova format like the singular person in the snow land. We just followed the thing in the body of the person from last episode continually dying and reviving while there is a village out there with a girl named March who is going to be sacrificed to a god despite wanting to be grown up. So, this episode is her rebellion against the system and meeting the immortal on her escape. That’s it, that’s the episode. It was very above average story wise, but it looked good. I wonder if there will be a better pay off tomorrow because this is definitely a set up episode.
Back Arrow Episode 16

Wow, this show knows no chill it seems. I thought this episode would be more relaxed and thoughtful considering everything that has gone on but no, lots of political moves. The Granedger tries to get other people to recognize that it’s a nation where Rekka and Lutoh have representatives there. Plus Arrow and Shun have their own political kind of means. But the largest motion where Rekka having their most powerful person at Granedger and then the Supremes causing more with with other people. Rekka supposedly had their plans to frame Back Arrow and Shu Bi for assassination, but it didn’t work out. Wild times but I like it a lot regardless. Such chaoticness and wonderfulness.
SSSS.Dynazenon Episode 4

I really like how this show just loves its characters so far. The ensemble piece continues and I am amused by Gauma being able to find jobs and being able to joke about being 5000 years old in front of people and they just say “yeah, sure”. Particularly good Yomogi and Yume episode as well along with handling Yomogi’s inner conflict of asking Yume out which shows up in training while Yume visits people to find out about her sister. Such relatable content and I am glad that Yume is starting to ask them out
The member of the Kaiju Eugenicists providing more chaos into the world by joining Yume and Yomogi’s class as well with his kaiju nonsense. And finally, the battle between the Eugencists who was able to fight about Dynazenon with her dimensional abilities was great as well. I think this was one of my favorite episodes so far. Lots of good things and good amounts of nonsense. Especially with the villains just visiting a restaurant and eating. Oh man, that was fun!
Vivy -Flourite Eye’s Song- Episode 5

More interesting set up for this next set of episodes. Especially with a guy, a scientist named Saeki getting married to an AI while on the run from Toak and a city of AI about to get attacked by Toak five years in the future. In the form of a companion cube, Matsumoto tells Vivy all of this with our cast learning about the current time period and the world through investigation like a detective series. The episode ends with Vivy giving the AI of the city the ability to protective itself with Saeki’s ai installation things at Toak attacks. A decent set up episode with intriguing things going on.
Thunderbolt Fantasy Season 3 Episode 4

Oh man, this episode had everything. Awesome sword fights, demon reveals, starting of plots, and the reveal of mentors. Lots of good things. Goth monk made his way through the mirror tunnels and caused a three-way fight between him with his robot sword arm, Shang, and the guy fighting for his nation and it was incredible. The aftermath left goth monk chasing after Shang, wife guy visiting the maker of musical weapons with the guitar, enigmatic gale plotting all sorts of plots with the nation people, demon waifu possibly breaking out the demon from her sword, and lots of good things. Even the middle episodes are incredible. We really are in the meat of it all and it’s a lot of good meat.
86 Episode 3

A very laid back episode compared to the last two in terms of action, but this episode was very mean. Through not as large fanservice moments with the girls wearing clothes while in the water having fun and the boys peeping, we get to know them a lot more through conversations. It’s very teenager like writing, but in a good sort of way because it’s effective in what it does. This sets up to the gradual transition from their world to Lena’s which happens when the perspective of who we see focused on happening.
Afterwards, Lena attempted leads her soldiers into battle and one of her soldiers dies which leads to the best sort of animation when Lena’s ideas are challenged after being sorry for one of her soldiers dying. Her reality vs theirs is challenged when she gets called out for just complaining about the system without doing anything about it. Not seeing who it was really puts us into her perspective too. Wow. Very well done, 86. I think this is my favorite episode of this so far unless something changes in the future.
Moriarty: The Patriot Part 2 Episode 4

I like what James Bonde does in this episode. He not only shakes up the Moriarty crew a bit more so we can learn about them a bit more, but she allows a much cleaner explanation into everything that was going on so we aren’t left behind by William Moriarty’s craziness. The trip at the bank allowed James and the three people she went with to bond (ha) a bit before showing that was only to get their uncle Jack’s killing instruments once again. Yes, they are friends with the original Jack the Ripper and not the normal one which is causing a war between Scottland Yard and the citizens. Next episode will probably be the conclusion to this arc. Very interested to see how William will turn this positively in his direction.
Megalobox 2: Nomad Episode 4

This arc finally came to its conclusion with Chief facing of against a white and privileged boxer and winning with Joe’s help. A lot of anti-immigration stuff going on here in which the immigrants fought back and can buy the land for their own use now. I guess they aren’t immigrants anymore. The big change, which I am and am not happy with, was Mio finally getting into his own little bout of experiences in a convenient way to allow Chief to win before he died in his sleep. Such a sad and powerful episode. With Joe taking Chief’s gear in memorial, he heads out to who knows where. I don’t know if this show will be as good as this ever again, but these first four episodes are fantastic.

Seeing Yuki grow has been such a wonderful thing. It’s beautiful watching him help others with very similar sorts of pain and loneliness and the struggles of perfection that he has constantly had to deal with. I’m going to miss the hell out of him when the show’s finally over.
I agree about Nomad. They have been such brilliant episodes and… honestly, it took me by surprise but I love it much more than I did season 1 and I enjoyed that quite a fricking lot.
To Your Eternity is a manga that I picked up and enjoyed until it just became too convoluted for its own good. I haven’t picked up the anime yet because I’m worried it’ll have the same dynamic. May wait for it to wrap up before I test it out.

Same. I honestly think a lot of people have been too hard on him by calling him whiny and that’s just so wrong. Yuki is so good.
And yes, Nomad is just so good at this point. I am so glad that I went with it this season.
Oh no, that doesn’t bode well for Eternity.

I don’t think he’s whiny at all. I think he’s been traumatised and that can really skew how a person engages with others around them. I think it’s why I relate to him a lot.

Same honestly. Maybe not in the exact same ways, but he is very relatable and believable.
