Rumble Garanndoll Episode 9

I don’t think there will be a time when I don’t like this show. It is full of otaku interesting-ness, but it continues to be very self aware about that. I mean, the opening of this episode was just pure gold with how everyone was involved. Especially with those cute moments between Rin and Hayate (one of the girls from the True Army) as they navigate Akihabara. Plus the talk of philosophy of the positives and negatives of Akihabara and Akibahara’s reign. Great way to create tension between a cast before a final show down. I like it.
Sakugan Episode 10

I’m looking at this episode wondering if I am getting the wrong idea this show was going for in the beginning. Or if the writers got bored with the adventure concept and wanted to do something else. I say that because suddenly there is a terrorist plot instead of these two facing the wilderness against kaiju towards a goal? Sakugan really doesn’t want to that even if that is what I wanted it do in the first place. And what we are got is alright. Just nothing stellar.
My favorite character in the show Merooro showed up or Sakugan’s version of Agent Coulson. He and his environmental ship that keeps animals alive. Very good guy with lots of power. So there is that tension between Gagumber vs this guy for Memempbu’s dad for some reason and that resolves itself during the terrorist organization. Somehow, Memempbu is a rainbow girl that and that means something? It’s not a bad episode, just an annoying one.
Komi Can’t Communication Episode 8

Well, this episode was quite a bit of fun. I loved the first half much more because it was focused on Komi’s family during the summer. Lots of rituals and meeting of these family members in interesting scenarios we didn’t expect. The best one was the quick interaction between Komi and her cousin and Komi and her grandmother. They seem to like each other. Following that was pretty comfy too. For instance, Komi visited Tadano’s house for a study date and then the festival afterwards. Very quick but good summer things in it. I like it. Good and comfy times!
Restaurant to Another World Season 2 Episode 11

Oh man, this was the less formulaic episode by far and I love all of it. Especially since the bondings of two nations are the focus of it. The starting of the gift of a cold coffee pot to the Empire to the forming of an alliance between the two nations. A suspicious party watches at the Nekoya and eventually decides that the food can be better if multiple kingdoms joined together.
That quiche this group ate while waiting for their food because it was so busy at the Nekoya. Then after a quick mention of a coffee float, the prince of Sand and princess of the empire are engaged to be married. That was built over over episodes and it finally happens. Makes me so happy. Not as much mention of food in the usual way and I think that it worked. Good episode.

Lupin The Third: Part 6 Episode 9

This episode was so much. Fun. A secret love of pirates and their familiars along time ago and a heist that the Lupin crew was barely behind on. That old lady who knew and set up so many things that even Lupin played into her hands was great. So many bits of fun dialogue for the pirate jewel which wasn’t one and that old lady’s play of deception was so awesome. I just..yeah. Such a cute and fun episode.
Blue Period Episode 9

I do think that this episode was good, but I do think that using Yuka-chan whose real life struggles with her own identity and her family over her art as that final learning step of Yatora understanding something beyond themselves. I mean, that’s literally what it is. Still, the idea and concepts were real and Yatora finally realizes how even handed and too logical of a person he has been. I’m glad to see him reconnect with Yuka-chan. I do not think this show is hateful, but there are some problems in this show’s narrative that holds it back from being perfect and that is the interactions between Yuka-chan and Yatora.
