Weekly Seasonal Watches: Winter 2022 Anime Season Week 12

Rust-Eater Bisco Episode 11

I feel like this episode kind of got too far into its own stakes and narrative that it had to pull some just but that I don’t like in the end. I mean, this is like a Godzilla episode where Milo is leading the pack of people Bisco and Milo met along the way to fight against the giant monster. None of that was enough against the Tetsujin monster. With Milo’s back against the wall, Bisco reappeared again. I just, it is missing a lot of sense that this series tried to build in its own way. A good episode, but nothing that is stellar in that whole experience either because of the end. Man…

New Legend of the Galactic Heroes Season 3 Episode 2

Not much to say about this episode because it was strangely slow for a second episode. I mean, it was an episode focused on Mittermeyer and Ruenthal’s ‘friendship”. I mean, the confession seen with Mittermeyer’s soon to be wife then to Ruenthal’s problem with women which is the best part of the episode. The after part where the two met during conflict that is kind of boring and yet rushed at the same time. It’s kind of crazy here I think.

Teasing Master Takagi-san Season 3 Episode 12 (Finale)

Man, this was probably the best episode from this entire winter season here. It of course was the standard sort of White Day episode with some extra drama. The normal couple had a failed confession and Nishikata tried his best to get Takagi to be tricked through a game going around town there. Of course, it really was Nishikata unraveling and actually noticing the web of feelings that Takagi left behind. So yeah, the last seen was pretty classic running towards each other confession that ended up in a good sort of confession for these two middle schoolers. Fantastic episode all around for all of these things together too.

Lupin the Third: Part 6 Episode 25 (Finale)

Well, that was a very Fujiko Mine sort of ending with Lupin actually gathering his memories and thoughts before hand with the non reveal of Lupin not being Tomoe’s child. Meant a lot to our cast and a lot of coolness with Lupin throwing away his past so that he could live with what he has around him. A very ok sort of finale though. Nothing stellar, but it got the job done with all the messages. In the end, this show was good but nothing stellar or amazing. Had lots of good moments and cool episodes but it kind of gave up a bit in the end to where it just ends up ok like the finale.

My Dress-Up Darling Episode 12 (Finale)

A pretty back to basics sort of episode to end this season with only Marin and Gojou, but one that shows how Marin and Gojou like being around each other. Or generally how their lives have been affected by being around each other. No cosplay, but what we get are a lot of honest moments that feel genuine with the two liking being around each other and talking to each other. Also, more insight into Marin’s life as well with her modeling career. I suppose it makes sense in why she is so casual around her clothing choices if she lives and works as a model. Gojou and Marin at the festival surrounded by fire works was so good. I suppose no confession this time, but the two wanting to go to festivals with each other next year is good enough for me.

Sasaki and Miyano Episode 12 (Finale)

Read the episode review between Irina and I later on, but just know that it was very cute and very good. All excellent there for so many things there too and it’s just good. Finally, they are together.

Requiem of the Rose King Episode 12

That was crazy, but in the best way that it probably be. I mean, the tension in of itself is a bit too much, but in a way that only Shakespeare can be like. The war has been won and now, Richard has to face his families trauma yet again. That romantic tension between Richard and Henry as they learn the truth over each other and eventually, Richard kills him. The mother figure continues to be awful. Also, there is jealousy amongst the brothers who won with a coming power grab for the siblings of York. A great way to end a cour with maximum tension.
