Weekly Seasonal Watches: Spring 2022 Anime Season Week 3

AMAIM Part 2 Episode 2

New Legend of the Galactic Heroes Season 3 Episode 6

An episode focused on the third nation, Fezzan. Uh oh. This is the real start of the fall of the Free Planets Alliance and the reign of the empire. OR, we see the small financial deals that lead to all of that happening there too. Man. This show is really detailed about it in ways I personally enjoy. So many things here with manipulations on both sides, the possibility of Yang being questioned while the empire is going to send over another fortress soon. It’s crazy. Plus, there are some ramifications and other things going on here. It really is just going down here.

Tiger and Bunny Season 2 Episode 3

Honestly, a pretty boring episode compared to the last two. I was actually thinking of skipping ahead because it was a bit too obvious where the episode was going. Basically, Blue Rose and her partner Ryan were fighting, then enter a letter from a fan to Blue Rose saying it was a sick girl that wanted to see her and then our tiger. So basically, an episode about Ryan dealing with betrayal that pushed trust a little bot because Blue Rose and Ryan and then Tiger and Barnaby. All while heroes are being killed outside of Sternbil. Very simple but low budget episode.

Ultraman Season 2 Episode 2

Some cool things are actually happening. Humans stuck in phase space, Ultraman is alive and we meet even more Ultramen here too. The guy who lights himself on fire as the reporter who discovered more information about the alien maid cafe that is capturing humans. Plus, a giant muscular guy is there too. Some cool bits of advancements of technology and other things there too. Also, the aliens are threatening humanity now. Some better and much more exciting things going on here too. I honestly can’t wait for more.

Aoashi Episode 3

This episode hit pretty hard in a lot of ways. Especially with the idea of giving players chances, how much a player can improve before just stopping their passion anymore, and such. Aoi leads the charge, after making it with 10 other players where they have to face the Tokyo E-Spirit league they want to join. A lot of twist and turns as another jerk ass player shows up who is intentionally injuring Aoi while the team players are destroying them. Who will make the try out and make it to the next level? I hope its all of them.

Spy X Family episode 3

A family outing! Yor moves in and its Loid, Anya, and Yor going around the city and trying to make themselves like a normal except Anya is herself and Yor really loves knives and death. So that task of trying to get Anya into the boarding school with their “normal” family is getting harder. Maybe they got together more after stopping a purse napper. Only next time will tell. A bit more relaxed of an episode compared to the other two, but its to be expected.

Love Live! Nijigasaki Season 2 Episode 4

Things are moving along. Idol units are forming, friends are being made, backstories are being told. Today’s episode was Ai and Karin forming their rivalry group after meeting with Ai’s friend that just made it out of the hospital. A girl that feels left behind by her friends after being in it so long and through Ai and Karin’s song, decides to seek her dreams anyway even if its high school now. A really cute but simple episode!

Requiem of the Rose King Episode 15

Schemes within schemes. Plots within plots. That is Buckingham in this episode. Buckinghamm playing two sides by partnering with Richard while also playing with the Woodvilles who are aiming for the throne after King Edward (the third) died. Now there is the fourth on the throne, a plot to kill or lock away Richard, but it all turns around when Richard’s body is forcefully revealed to Buckingham and the two take power of the kingdom of England itself. A lot of tension going to be happening from all of this power play. Even just keeping it is hard. Incredible episode.

Magia Record Season 3 Episode 4 (Finale)

Not much to say other then this episode and/or arc or just series in general is ending with how Madoka did but slightly different. That matter being that Iroha feels her fear and horror from how her positivity changed some girls in different ways, but then her connection with others cancels her Doppel out and Yachiyo goes through a smaller but similar arc. Then evil is defeated because the magical girls unit over hope. Yachiyo’s former roommates and Iroha’s sister Ui becomes more memorable in tangible moments then just simply existing. Not the ending that was wanted, but still a happy ending with a dash of melancholy. The way Madoka also ended.
