Seasonal Anime Episodes
Going to two movies a night was not a good plan. I was burnt out this weekend I still wasn’t able to get around my model kits for them either. One day, the Double Zeta kit will be built. One day.
Golden Kamuy Season 4 Episode 5

Some really cool, silly, and dramatic just like the usual Golden Kamuy kind of stuff. The main concept is Asirpa working hard to preserve Ainu culture. So a few crew shows up, after she saved them, and starting filming some ridiculous Ainu stories. Well, as best as a person can do without sound. Which ties a bit into the Asirpa and Sugimoto relationship where Sugimoto doesn’t want to see Asirpa in the gold hunt anymore. Something to ponder as LT Tsurumi is on his way.
Chainsaw Man Episode 4

Generally solid episode this week and yeah, this show really is starting to pick up on me a bit more. It’s basically Denji fighting another demon for another episode until Aki and friends show up to save the day. Plus a lot of movement towards some political elements behind what Denji and Power did with Makima even with her accepting those elements too. Plus the Evangelion thing of Aki, Denji, and Power living in the same apartment and Power being the worst roommate ever. Perfect. So the dynamic element begins.
Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These – Intrigue Episode 6

This episode was mainly talking and that’s not a bad thing. Especially since it is an episode that shows a lot of the weight behind Reinhard letting the emperor be stolen and strengthen his own cause of realistically invading the Free Planets Alliance. Especially since the FPA are really flipping their own morals by supporting an imperial government in exile when the empire was something the FPA was meant to escape in the first place. So its seeing the life on Iserlohn as they have this comfy time where it could be a slice of life anime to now where suddenly everything has changed. Very good episode for everything at play here too.
Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 Episode 5

Finally, it’s time for Mob’s fight against Dimple and all the god power that he has acquired from his tree and absorbing the people of Seasoning City. It’s basically an entire episode of Dimple beating up against Mob with his strongest abilities with Mob barely resisting and just a little disappointed as he barely fights back. Now, it’s Mob’s turn to fight for the free will of everyone he knows once he returns next week. Beautiful looking episode once again. Kind of stressed out to wait until next week.
Bibliophile Princess Episode 5

Well yeah, that was another cute episode full of a lot of things and ideas brought up that somehow connect to each other. I love that Eliana not only shows up to a rude nobel that is more about violence then anything for burning books, but she’s just against the idea of spending money on weapons when the kingdom can just make universal healthcare for everyone. Plus that couple stuff between her and Chris is good with her actually remembering when the two of them met which ties into all of this. Just a solidly enough cute episode.
Urusei Yatsura (2022) Episode 4

Princess Kurama from the Tengu Crow aliens showed up in this episode and it’s a fun time. A fun episode dedicated to Kurama, an outside character, breaking tradition from having sexy with the first person who kissed her and instead finding an actual person she can stand. You know what? Go her. The episode was a lot of classic sort of Urusei Yatsura shenanigins with comedy that I just enjoy and it all ties into things on good levels too. Yeah, I dig it well enough. It’s just funny.
Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer Episode 17

A very clean and poignant episode. One of great direction work once again even if its focused on one battle with different sides thrown into different sides by the golems themselves. Plus the joy of them returning together as they defeating the golems. It was a great time seeing Taiyou not just watching the fight and getting involved in a way to defeat the last golem or figure out he can heal when he could have been doing that all along. That’s some heavy stuff for a kid to handle. Really solid episode this week.
Tiger and Bunny Season 2 Part 2 Episode 5

This show is going ton continue to hurt everyone, isn’t it? Thomas and Subaru had their team broken up and everything at the Next camp has been getting worse. While the culprit for the X virus is found and everything was planned for them too. Some good bit of police work while these heroes can’t actually be heroes in their super suits. The fact that most of them are working for the public’s good off camera is incredible work for them onto it too. But in the end, that was ruined by the one person Bunny trusts because he’s an inside agent. Everything will continue to get worse here it seems. Man…
Spy X Family Cour 2 Episode 6

A pretty solid episode over all based on Anya’s test. The ridiculous and fast study help from Uncle Yuri, the test itself where Anya can’t use her mind powers during the test for convenient reasons, and then the little bit of spy match between Loid and the absolute failure of a spy, Dawnstar, that was just a lot of fun. I did like that Anya someow “passed” on her own, but that zero confidence by Loid was at least turned around a bit when Anya did ok. There is a lot of crazy stuff going on here.
Raven of the Inner Palace Episode 6

The true origin of the Raven Consort was finally discovered in this episode. A flash back about the Summer and Winter Kings with war happening when the two separated. Then that placement of the Winter King, or Raven Consort, being stuck to stay in her house and never leave the palace added a lot of dimensional to Shouxue’s conflict. A conflict to where she is a prisoner holding a silent position in the Raven palace itself. Poor girl really is stuck and can never leave. That’s got to be heavy.
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Episode 6

AAAAAAAAA. Welcome once again to Gundam, guys. Birthday and supposed cyber new types of this world are fully present with Suletta having to fight one after 21 years (which doesn’t match up with how old Suletta is). So yeah, the fight between Suletta and Elan with Sulleta getting help from the Earth House (who have financial stakes in the fight) are wonderful things. But then you start thinking about the details with Suletta trying to get a connection with a person who has no designated personality other then weapon of war and then go beyond that (with so many more questions), and this episode gets scarier with an uneasy hint behind it. Plus, Elan’s fate was horrifying. There is more and more darkness behind every corner.
This Week’s Episode Ratings

Last year, I started a small graph system that I used to rank the weekly episodes I’ve watched. I’m going to bring it back for this season and see how it goes. I just want to make my opinions a bit more clearer other then “I really like this anime episode that did those things?”. If this helps at all.
Now, this doesn’t mean that the episode on the bottom is bad. Just that that it wasn’t as good as the others. That’s it really. In the end, this is all arbitrary after all just like most of what I blog anyway. It’s just another thing, what is the difference?
Wow, if I’m reading your graph right, BlueLock shot right to the top this week! Hmm, some of the colors are so similar, it’s a little hard to read which anime is doing what. Bibliophile Princess is up this week, right?

Blue lock hasn’t made an appearance for a long time because I dropped it, but it has to stay there because I still watched it. It’s basically at zero because of that.

Okay, oops, I think I’m totally reading this graph wrong. Lol!

It’s ok, It’s not like I did much to make it more clearer. It was a struggle to get it to even work and then didn’t try to modify it anyway other way after that fact.
