Seasonal Anime Episodes
A pretty sad week to be writing this post. Golden Kamuy is going on hiatus for a while now that one of the major staff members behind the show past away. A sad time because it of what happened and I will sait forever or more Golden Kamuy if I have to.
Golden Kamuy Season 4 Episode 6

Definitely a stakes building episode. One with a major sort of conflict between Tsurumi’s group versus Hijikata’s little crew too. Some really excellent genius plays for it too. Then there is the little bit of keeping the Ainu alive and the major sort of conflict between Sugimoto and Asirpa where both of them have changed and how Asirpa has grown up so much for the elements on them too. Yeah, just a really good sort of conflict setting episode and I approve all of it.
Chainsaw Man Episode 5

Well, the pacing behind this episode certainly jumped into gear this episode. Especially with a bit of a slower start in the first half with Denji touching Power’s disappointing boobs and then Makima completely dominating and grooming Denji to kill more things for her for sexual favors. Man, those moments were too well animated. Then that jump into Denji and Power with Aki’s group where you get a sense of who they are before facing the infinite hotel hallways. Oh man, this is going to get heavy. Uh oh. So yeah, a major improvement.
Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These – Intrigue Episode 7

I admire how thoroughly this show is going with every sort of political decision it makes and it can be handled so realistically. For instance, the topic of how the policy of the FPA taken in the emperor really did show its two sides. It really is sad taht these random nameless people we will never meet basically sussed out the entire scheme of the show with off handed remarks. Or that argument about why Yang won’t be a dictator or the value of human lives being put in jeopardy by protecting the 7 year old emperor that was drugged asleep. The biggest thing is Julien going to Fezzan because that is such a large change. Some heavy stuff going on like usual.
Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 Episode 6

Well, that was the emotional gut punch that I wasn’t expecting to see. Man, Mr. God Dimple and Mob really talked to each other and having an honest conversation instead of fighting? This is the stuff that I want to see from Mob Psycho. Especially their honest sort of relationship that happened. Then the action here came from Dimple fighting off the tree and sacrificing his life to save mob and the rest of the town by putting the tree in space. Man, what a beautiful episode and it hurt in the biggest ways possible too. Some crazy time. Probably my favorite episode this week.
Bibliophile Princess Episode 6

I’m glad that we got to have Elianne alone in this episode, because we really got to see more of how she interacts with other people besides Christopher. Basically, all the unusual and strange things she brings to the table of normal people either through different weave patterns, different ways to heal a wound, and even her naive ways she wanted to help people by not perpetrating war by helping and feeding everyone during tough points of a year. While she is unusual, she does shake up everything (whether on purpose or not) by being around. She may be naive but she is young and that is ok.
Urusei Yatsura (2022) Episode 5

This show is really becoming a lot more of a relaxation sort of show to me. It’s not exceptional perhaps, but it is good enough and silly enough just to sit back and enjoy. The first part with school nurse and shrine maiden Sakura joining the school with the haunted gloves was pretty fun. Meanwhile, the whole fake love letter to Ataru and Lum coming to his rescue was good and sweet. Especially with Lum and Ataru holding hands for a while as she wears a great outfit. What a magical close of this episode.
Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer Episode 18

We really are exploring Yuuhi’s little bit of experience. Yes, the eleventh golem is one that can transform into some kind of human being. The three mythic knights are here as well. The ending of the series is really starting to come around now. So what needs to be shared a bit? Yuuhi discovering his own strength and not just relying on Shinonome. So a major part of the episode is Yuuhi climbing the steps after finally surpassing Shinonome with his own sort of ability. It is a kind of a heart warming episode for how this show presents its ideas.
Tiger and Bunny Season 2 Part 2 Episode 6

I don’t have much to say about this episode other then it really is setting up the finale of this episode 6 episodes before one would usually happen. a good point to be sure, but the main villain is finally going into focus with detective work that makes sense. For instance, we know something about Mattai being taken over by the main villain because the secondary one screwed up so bad. Then there is criminal attacking areas all over the city with Tiger and Bunny breaking the law because they aren’t super heroes now. This episode is a little too all over the place to have as much impact as it needed to succeed in my opinion.
Spy X Family Cour 2 Episode 7

We are definitely in the slice of life phase of Spy X Family and you know what? Excellent. I really like this show on every side of its run whether its action or otherwise. Especially if its this episode where the adult world of politics and business buy outs is seen from the perspective of kids, so its a bit more dramatic then we see it in a kid sort of way. Especially when one kid’s business is going through a buy out, but the kid thinks its bankruptcy so the kid gets everyone to feel sorry for him then its punctuated in the end by him having to return those favors. Then the end o the episode of Yor parkouring all the way to Anya’s school was just hilarious and cute too.
Raven of the Inner Palace Episode 7

Man, this show is pretty heavy isn’t it? Especially with Shouxue being revealed as the Winter King and having to deal with some parts of her blood line from the past dynasty. That sorceror came in through ghost form and just wanted to see good bye to his ghost fiance that still wanders the Earth too even if he was a bit too violent in taking Jui-Jui’s body. Still a cute ending there with a mix of seeing how bad ass Shouxue can be. Same with her fixing the Emperor’s little problem and the Emperor paying back by rolling back some policies where he can to make Shouxue more comfortable. Plus that friendship angle. Such a cute couple. Well, I hope they are a couple soon.
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Episode N/A

Recap episode this week.
This Week’s Episode Ratings

Last year, I started a small graph system that I used to rank the weekly episodes I’ve watched. I’m going to bring it back for this season and see how it goes. I just want to make my opinions a bit more clearer other then “I really like this anime episode that did those things?”. If this helps at all.
Now, this doesn’t mean that the episode on the bottom is bad. Just that that it wasn’t as good as the others. That’s it really. In the end, this is all arbitrary after all just like most of what I blog anyway. It’s just another thing, what is the difference?
Yeah, definitely a sad thing to happen to Golden Kamuy. I hate that whenever something like this happens my mind will always wonder towards that perspective, but I at least hope this wasn’t one more overburden case in the industry.
Mob had the best ep, no questions about it. SxF had a pretty great first half (the anthem part especially has got to be one of my favorite scenes of the year) and though I was thinking of giving up on Urusei Yatsura, this ep was quite nice – the ending especially.
A very strong week, but I might’ve put Witch from Mercury and Raven on hold for too long… gotta catch up this weekend.

I hope it wasn’t an overburden case either, but you never know anymore and its sad.
Mob was definitely too powerful for everything around it.
