Seasonal Anime Episodes
I started a Tumblr so if Twitter crashes, despite Elon’s attempts at making it produce money for him through H1B workers being forced to produce code and not live any safe lifes, you can still find me here: Tumblr Link.
Chainsaw Man Episode 6

Finally, an episode of Chainsaw Man that feels right. A lot of good bits of tension as this group of people is locked away in a floor of a hotel where a monster wants to eat them. Ok, mainly Denji. It’s a kind of episode that not only lets you know these characters more mixed with trauma and humor depending on who the characters are. Power wants a Nobel prize and Kobeni is stressing out at being here and so many other things. So that moment when there is nothing for Denji to do but actually feed himself to the infinity devil in chainsaw mode felt really complete in general. It’s some really good stuff.
Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These – Intrigue Episode 8

An episode where Julian is leaving for Fezzan shouldn’t hurt as much as it does, but it was great. especially since Julian has been with Yang his entire life. Julian really has distinguished himself quite a bit himself. Plus, he is going to be our view point character as Julian is gwait to see more. oing to be in Fezzan as Reinhard and his empire invade the Free Planets Alliance. Fun times and he will be doing a lot of incredible things while there. As usual can’t
Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 Episode 7

What a comfy episode. We needed it after episode 6 being so painful. Yeah, just a good sort of relaxation with the telepath club actually doing something with telepaths. Like the former member who went into tennis coming back after hearing a telepathic message. Such a wholesome moment for Mob connecting to this guy with his own experiences. That is what this show is about after all and its great towards all of those aspects. I’m glad that Mob is such a good series about emphasizing with people instead of fighting even if fighting is needed sometimes.
Bibliophile Princess Episode 7

Ah, I see that everything is coming together a bit more. Which I suppose wasn’t that complicated to think about considering the set up of Sophia trying to take down Eli. It was just a bit all over the place so I couldn’t read it as well as I usually have. But it makes sense a bit now. Eli is still fighting for her right to marry Christopher even if Sophia and friends don’t like her and are jealous. Oh Court drama while facing bandits in the middle of nowhere. Simple but good sorts of ideas.
Urusei Yatsura (2022) Episode 6

Yeah, this show really is getting more and more dangerous all the time. In a fun way. The fact that Ataru’s cloest is now a portal to wherever now really adds so much more dimensionality and more crazy levels for this show to go. For instance, playing a game of different aliens throwing as many balls as possible into baskets which was fun. Or the ice demons that wanted boys to shovel snow for some reason. The ending bit where Ataru said he was retiring was the best because it really did introduce the entire cast who wanted to become the show’s main character. What gold.
Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer Episode 19

This episode was fundamentally strange. I mean, the whole point was four one particular knight to create a better golem or else the 11th golem, who doesn’t understand humanity, will kill every knight’s family. There is ten days for that. The weird thing is that this one guy isn’t the focus of the episode where we see him struggle at all. We instead got the worst date ever between Yuuhi and Hakudou from their training to the two not even having good chemistry either. It really was all over the place.
Tiger and Bunny Season 2 Part 2 Episode 7

This episode actually had Yuri/Lunatic confront a lot of his fears as he lost his mother last episode and decided to hunt down the killers himself. Something which Barnaby and Kotetsu got in the way of in their encounter of Yuri and Lunatic in both areas. All while the cops doing nothing but accusing people for saving a person’s life when they couldn’t and the lead villain mentioning everything is in lock down. This is Kotetsu’s episode to say he won’t lose who he is after his powers disappear and Yuri’s episode to carry along his past and maybe see hope for a future. It’s really wild stuff that I wish the show got to earlier.
Spy X Family Cour 2 Episode 8

Some cute times happened once again as one would expect in this show. Anya visiting Loid’s psychiatrist office could have been a normal visit, but SxF isn’t a normal sort of anime. First there was Yor’s vision of Anya apprenticing her assassin work and then all of that spy work which happened at Loid’s office considering Loid’s secret escape route. It was a lot of fun. Same with the ending little code bit where it was only Anya handing a secret code to people and the ending pay off was Franky wanted to have at his expense. It was sad.
Raven of the Inner Palace Episode 8

Some comfy things happening here one again. We also learned about the lives of Eunuch in these portions where they are servants. I thought by watching Code Geass that I had an idea of them being some sort of leaders, but seeing them be servants that can either be forced into that position and beaten if they do anything wrong. The young boy that walked into the Raven Palace was so bad. Same with that small feature of the spirit of a young Eunuch who was murdered for killing a bird. Plus the emperor and Shouxue are awkwardly getting closer together. Good times.
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Episode 7

Gundam Start ups. I didn’t expect that, but this is truly a new area of Gundam things. A start up party turned into a meet up event for Miorine to meet her fiancé’s mother and a massive sort of witch hunt from Suletta being accused of using the Gundam that she clearly didn’t know anything about. So of course Miorine was going to use every means necessary to save her fiancé through building a start up business for a safe gundam which she had to beg her father to support. Pride would only get her so far, says the very sly and manipulative Lady Prospera. So yeah, good on those fronts.
I still wonder about the 21 years thing because Sulleta is only 17 years old and there is that funky year gap which we don’t know what happened propelling all of this forward. Is Eri really inside of Ariel or is there something more sinister (or possibly less sinister) at play here. Remains to be scene but I think Eri is in that Gundam, otherwise that prologue almost has no purpose besides motivating Prospera a bit more perhaps.
This Week’s Episode Ratings

Last year, I started a small graph system that I used to rank the weekly episodes I’ve watched. I’m going to bring it back for this season and see how it goes. I just want to make my opinions a bit more clearer other then “I really like this anime episode that did those things?”. If this helps at all.
Now, this doesn’t mean that the episode on the bottom is bad. Just that that it wasn’t as good as the others. That’s it really. In the end, this is all arbitrary after all just like most of what I blog anyway. It’s just another thing, what is the difference?
I’m glad to hear that Raven of the Inner Palace is taking a little breather from the surprises of the last episode. Sometimes comfy episodes are a nice change. Can’t wait to watch it!
