Seasonal Watches
So now that the parents are home and I have adapted a bit more to the time change, I’ve gotten so much more use to my schedule and just not as tired. I do admit that some of that is me not having worked completely for my ten hour shifts here either too. Hopefully this will continue as I plan on going to Sakura-con in a couple weeks. Perfect timing with the anime seasonal change here too. Something to think about in the future perhaps.
Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 11
Man, this show isn’t going the same direction that I thought it would but I was wondering how that farm and Kanute would come into play. Now I know. Kehil and his son unfortunately make it to Kanute to give some tribute meanwhile Kanute is planning to take over farms in order to not bankrupt his country. Everything seems normal at first with Kehil actually meeting Leif Ericson and they actually talk about Thorfin. At the same time with Kehil meeting the king, he unfortunately brought Olmar along and he is a completely fallible idiot. I think we know how this is going to work out. A wonderful episode.
High Card Episode 11
I just….this episode is just how it’s going to fall so flat on its face so hard. There was an entire plot with Pinochle against the other gang and the other crew just feels there to do nothing then fill a slot. Especially since Chris is just going crazy or so we think and Finn just wakes up in another area again and goes after Chris. Somehow Finn is fired from being a High Card after pursuing it and does it really matter anymore because he hasn’t been a High Card for a while now because he’s been at his orphange? Nothing really matter anymore here either. Sigh, this show is just stylish trash now.
Tsurune – The Linking Shot – Episode 12
For a loss, what a fun episode honestly. Even with our Kazemai boys losing their quarter final match that went into double sudden death after talking to Shu and his team before hand. What a comfy comradery sort of moment after last time where there was a lot of egos in the air. Now that both sides have had such a reality check, it was just a good time. A friendly and tough competition between friends. Also, I like the note of these boys still having to improve because something like Kyudo feels like a life long journey just like everything else. This episode kind of represents that in such a good way.
Tomo-Chan is a Girl Episode 12
Finally. After all that time and seeing Tomo-chan play naturally as a prince and Mizusu actually doing a pretty good job as Cinderella. Also, a great way for Misuzu to notice she was trying to make Tomo-chan girly when that isn’t her at all. So yes, the school festival was dramatic for a bit because Jun did reveal his feelings there. Then some tension happened and I’m glad that Tomo-chan and Jun finally connected after some larger bits of drama. PLus, the fact that the relationship between Jun and Tomo-chan will come from it being a rivalry and everything else is honestly perfect. Pretty happy with this episode over all.
Bofuri Season 2 Episode 9
Another fun time in this show. The final round for this floor has started and it is awesome. Especially to get ten medals of which five come from being alive through out the round too. Maple, Sally, and their two daughters take out a very harsh opponent and so did Iza, Kasumi, and other people at play too. Plus, them setting up a fortress for the night was so hilarious. Especially with how over board they went for traps while just playing cards. It’s just such a fun time for sure too. 🙂
Urusei Yatsura (2022) Episode 23 (Cour Finale)
Perfect episode for this show to end its cour on. Just the five main girls of this show competing in different capacities and Ataru being a decent host as well as displaying every single advertising deal between each small game and it allowed us to see our girls a bit more. Those girls being Lum, Ran, Sakura, Ryunosuke, and Shinobu. Then the violence happened when its these five girls against wild animals and these girls are amazingly strong. You know, some tension from Ran stealing girl’s strength through kissing. Still, I couldn’t take my eyes away from the screen because it was so good on every level. Just beautiful all around.
Trigun Stampede Episode 12 (Cour Finale)
This was kind of insane honestly. I do think that the tension behind it was good as well as it just changing the face of Trigun history in an interesting way too. Especially since this was kind of the prologue of how July city was destroyed. This time, it truly was a fight between Vash and Knives through all of sky and space in their angel forms with dimensional break downs and a destruction of the entire planet. I’m happy that Meryl did play a part to Vash returning to who he was in his core even if his memories are probably gone. Also, his old design is back and Milly is appearing in the new season. Really kind of explosive finale in the only way this show could be.
Soaring Sky! Precure Episode 8
Unless Ageha isn’t the adult Precure, we met all of them and I’m so happy. Especially with our leader Sora, the massive himbo. Tsubasa appeared in this episode and he is the male precure in this group and he also comes from Skyland but is from a bird people that traded their ability to fly to instead turn into a human. So he seems like a nice guy like usual and I feel like his journey into a flying precure will be good. Very fun that this was the first part of a two parter and it’s great. All around just a comfy too with little bits of conflict until Kabaton became a menace again.
Weekly Ratings
Last year, I started a small graph system that I used to rank the weekly episodes I’ve watched. I’m going to bring it back for this season and see how it goes. I just want to make my opinions a bit more clearer other then “I really like this anime episode that did those things?”. If this helps at all.
Now, this doesn’t mean that the episode on the bottom is bad. Just that that it wasn’t as good as the others. That’s it really. In the end, this is all arbitrary after all just like most of what I blog anyway. It’s just another thing, what is the difference?
